PICKERINGTON – Portsmouth Notre Dame defeated error-plagued Mechanicsburg, 10-0, in a Central District Division IV regional softball semifinal on Wednesday.
Mechanicsburg – which committed five errors in the game – trailed 2-0 after the first inning and 6-0 after the fourth.
PND scored four more runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game.
Jasalyn Sartin took the loss for the Indians despite allowing only one earned run.
For Mechanicsburg (18-5), Mylee DeLong and Bella Batkiewicz each had a double.
