Artist Mike Major, a long-time resident of Champaign County, will appear at an art opening and book signing to be held at the Champaign County Arts Council, 119 Miami St. in Urbana on Friday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All-County High School Choir
Students were selected from four area high schools to participate in the All-County High School Choir Festival at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Urbana on Saturday, Nov. 18. Dr. Elizabeth Hainrihar, Director of Choral Activities at Wittenberg, directed the All-County Choir with Jane Martin as the accompanist. The Champaign County Arts Council sponsored the event, which has not been held in Champaign County for over 20 years. “We are just trying to get more kids interested in the arts” said Brad Winner, Director of the Arts Council.
Triad breaks ground on ag facility
NORTH LEWISBURG - On October 27, the students of the Triad-Ohio Hi Point FFA Chapter led the groundbreaking for a new agriculture facility on Triad campus. Over the next few months, Triad will add an agricultural barn to its campus in order to allow for extended learning opportunities for our students and the community.
