We never get tired of perfection.

It’s a wonderful feeling.

We went 5-0 in our picks last week to improve to 49-6 overall.

And now, the prep playoffs begin with two local teams still alive.

Unfortunately, there will likely be only one team still alive after today.

Tonight’s Games

Miami East (7-3) at Mechanicsburg (10-0) – The Indians put together the outstanding regular season we expected, but can they win a state title?

Their quest begins tonight against Miami East, and we doubt it will be much of a battle.

We’re going with Mechanicsburg to prevail.

WL-S (6-4) at Marion Local (9-1) – The Tigers have been one of the hottest Division VI teams in the state over the last month after starting the season 2-4.

It’s just too bad WL-S had to draw Marion Local in the first round.

We’re picking Marion Local to win.

Saturday’s Game

Urbana U. (3-6) at Notre Dame College (7-2) – Despite their record, the Blue Knights have been playing pretty well for the last month or so.

UU could easily be 5-4 instead of 3-6 with a break here or there.

Notre Dame is a tough customer, though, so we’re going with it to prevail.
