Mounce named CBC/MRD girls player of the year

Urbana’s Peyton Mounce has been named the CBC/MRD girls basketball player of the year.

Mounce led the CBC in scoring (18 points per game), rebounding (12 per game), assists (5.8 per game) and blocks (3.1 per game) this season.

Mounce was also named to the All-CBC/MRD first team, along with Graham’s Abby Yukon.

Urbana’s Alex Dixon was named to the second team, and Graham’s Cora McWhinney and Urbana’s Reagan Cotner were each named special mention.

Urbana’s Jonathan Hildebrand and Will Donahoe along with Graham’s Ben Sells were each named first team All-CBC/MRD in boys basketball.

Urbana’s Aiden Bradshaw and Rayvon Rogan along with Graham’s Bode McGuire were each named to the second team.

Urbana’s Landon Key and Graham’s Eli Hollingsworth were each named special mention.

Bowling

Urbana’s Jazmyn Scott and Riley Smith and Graham’s Gracie Astry and Kailey Dowty were each named first team All-CBC/MRD in girls bowling. Scott was also named the MRD bowler of the year.

Urbana’s Emily Fisher and Graham’s Mackenzie Clark and Maddy Murphy were each named to the second team.

Graham’s Ashlynn Monaghan and Urbana’s Lauren Turner and Maya Stokes were each named special mention.

Urbana’s Kaz Scott and Kohldon Belt and Graham’s Peyton Schweirking, Spencer Hannahs and Tristan Maxwell were each named first team All-CBC/MRD in boys bowling. Scott was also named the MRD bowler of the year.

Graham’s Ayden Tudor and Daniel Evans were each named to the second team.
