MECHANICSBURG – Olivia Skillings scored a game-high 20 points as Mechanicsburg beat Jonathan Alder, 58-34, in non-league girls basketball.
The Indians led, 24-14, at the half.
For Mechanicsburg (19-3), Addie DeLong had 19 points.
Mechanicsburg won the jayvee game, 29-12. For the Indians, Clair Rodgers had 11 points.
The Indians – champions of the OHC North – will host Marion Elgin on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Division III sectional.
Bowling
Greenon defeated Triad, 2,395-1,596, in OHC boys bowling.
Frosh basketball
West Liberty-Salem defeated Mechanicsburg, 36-28, in the first round of the OHC 9th grade boys tournament. For the Tigers, Gaven Nance had 8 points and Cade Stokes added 7.
Mechanicsburg did not report stats.
WL-S beat Cedarville, 26-24, in the semifinals. For the Tigers, JJ Johnson had 10 points and Nance added 8.
WL-S (13-3) will play in the OHC finals on Saturday at noon at Cedarville High School.
