Indians, Tigers compete at Trotwood swim meet

TROTWOOD – Mechanicsburg and West Liberty-Salem swimmers competed in the Ohio Heritage Conference Swim Invitational with the Ohio Metro Buckeye Conference and the Three Rivers Conference schools at Trotwood-Madison.

Results for the girls included:

Mechanicsburg:

200 Medley Relay – Asher Daniels, Alekah Daniels, Kendall Rausch, and Bailey Stapleton (in a school record time of 2:29.75) 5th

50 Freestyle – Alekah Daniels (25.99) 2nd, Bailey Stapleton (38.30) 30th, and Kendall Rausch (40.54) 34th

100 Freestyle – Alekah Daniels (59.14) 1st, Asher Daniels (1:24.99) 15th, and Bailey Stapleton (1:26.51) 18th

200 Freestyle Relay – Alekah Daniels, Kendall Rausch, Bailey Stapleton, and Asher Daniels (2:18.65) 4th

100 Backstroke – Asher Daniels (1:39.95) 14th

100 Breaststroke – Kendall Rausch (1:38.08) 11th

West Liberty-Salem:

200 Medley Relay – Tina Douthwaite, Lilly Smith, Lydia Schmidt, and Laney Craig (2:32.23) 6th

200 Freestyle – Lilly Smith (in school record time of 2:23.54) 3rd, and Laney Craig (2:55.38) 9th

50 Freestyle – Tina Douthwaite (30.37) 10th, and Lydia Schmidt (34.30) 15th

100 Freestyle – Tina Douthwaite (1:10.20) 7th, and Lydia Schmidt (1:20.20) 14th

500 Freestyle – Laney Craig (7:56.14) 5th

200 Freestyle Relay – Tina Douthwaite, Lydia Schmidt, Laney Craig, and Lily Smith (2:10.97) 2nd

100 Breaststroke – Lilly Smith (in a school record time of 1:25.28) 6th

For the boys, the results included:

West Liberty-Salem:

200 Freestyle – Kam Hissong (in a school record time of 2:42.55) 7th

50 Freestyle – Peyton Hull (30.73) 16th

100 Freestyle – Kam Hissong (in a school record time of 1:09.74) 10th and Peyton Hull (1:15.83) 12th

The Mechanicsburg girls team finished 5th out of 12 total squads and the West Liberty-Salem girls finished 6th.

For the boys, West Liberty-Salem finished 12th out of 13 teams.
