Triad upends Mechanicsburg in boys hoops

NORTH LEWISBURG – Tyler Perry had a team-high 21 points as Triad defeated Mechanicsburg, 60-42, in OHC boys basketball.

The Cardinals led, 23-22, at the half.

For Triad (4-12, 4-8), Kane Bailey had 19 points and 15 rebounds and Hunter Thompson added 10 points.

On Friday, Triad plays at Northeastern and Mechanicsburg (0-17, 0-12) plays at Fairbanks.

Urbana falls

SPRINGFIELD – Kenton Ridge rallied to beat Urbana, 60-53, in overtime in CBC boys basketball.

The Hillclimbers led, 30-24, at the half and the score was tied, 48-48, at the end of the fourth quarter.

For UHS (11-5), Will Donahoe and Landon Key each had 13 points and Jonathan Hildebrand added 11.

Urbana hosts Ben Logan on Friday.

Graham loses

NEW CARLISLE – Tecumseh knocked off Graham, 58-50, in CBC boys basketball.

The Arrows led, 31-29, at the half.

Graham (6-11) hosts North Union on Friday.

WL-S loses

WEST LIBERTY – Fairbanks downed WL-S, 51-39, in OHC boys basketball.

The score was tied, 26-26, at the half.

For the Tigers (8-9, 6-6), Taran Logwood had 14 points, Carson Poppe had 9 and Brevin Louden added 8.

Fairbanks won the jayvee game, 33-26. For the Tigers, Caleb Hershberger had 9 points.

WL-S won the 9th grade game, 29-23. For the Tigers, Garrett Wallen had 13 points.

WL-S plays at West Jefferson on Friday.

JH basketball

The WL-S 7th grade girls basketball team beat Greenon, 31-13. For the Tigers, Addi Wallen had 18 points.
