Mechanicsburg sweeps WL-S in bowling

The Mechanicsburg girls bowling team beat West Liberty-Salem, 2,726-1,553, in OHC action. The Indians were led by Hannah Dingledine, who rolled a 453 with games of 236 and 217.

Also for Mechanicsburg (7-1, 3-0), Ashton Waller had a 182-248 for a 430, Gwen Westfall a 223-182 for a 405, Taylor Rausch a 179-182 for a 361 and Faith Ford a 148-200 for a 348.

For the Tigers (2-3, 1-3), Elli Ullery had a 148, Lexi Lowe a 98, Sadie Paul an 89, Lilly Gearheart a 121 and Alyssa Mueller a 146.

The Mechanicsburg girls won the jayvee match. The standouts for Mechanicsburg were Sarah Beattie, who had a 321 with games of 158 and 163 and Sarah Hoover, who had a 289 with games of 133 and 156. For WL-S, Hayley Earles had a 116.

The Mechanicsburg boys won, 2,509-2,313.

For the Indians (5-3, 3-0), Chris Ritchie had a 434 and Jordan Sadowski a 389.

For the Tigers (2-3, 2-3), Adam Jennings had a 161, Caleb Baumgardner a 169, Eli Ullery a 184, Kaden Francis a 182, Luke Thomas a 147 and Devon Jones a 171.

UHS splits

Shawnee downed Urbana, 2,764,-2,587, in CBC boys bowling.

For UHS (9-2, 9-1), Kaz Scott had a 215-243 458, Kohldon Belt a 187-224 411 and Draden Belt a 194-200 394.

In girls action, Urbana won, 2,486-1,706.

For the Hillclimbers (10-1, 10-1), Riley Smith had a 173-222 395, Jazmyn Scott a 191-181 372 and Emily Fisher a 182-159 341.
