Grant Davis is the new Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator with OSU Extension in Champaign County, it was announced on Monday.
Davis grew up outside of Christiansburg, just over the county line in Miami County. He and his wife Stephanie reside in this area, along with their three daughters, Brynn (age 7), Maren (age 3), and Reagan (age 2).
Davis is a graduate of Ohio State in Agriculture Education and has a Graduate Certificate in Agronomy from Iowa State.
“I started my career working for a locally-owned ag retailer. I then went on to be a research assistant for Monsanto helping develop new corn products for around five years. I then moved on to become a field agronomist with Integrated Ag Services for eight years,” he said. “During my time at Integrated Ag, I earned my Certified Crop Advisor designation, and became even more familiar with Champaign County working with various farmer-customers in the area. When not working, I enjoy operating my own farm raising beef cattle, hay, and grain crops. While most of my career experience comes from the field crop side of things, I am looking forward to the variety of the agriculture industry that this position will provide.”
Davis can be reached at 937-772-6022, and email [email protected].
