The Champaign County Historical Museum holds many treasures – artifacts and documents – that tell fascinating stories about our county. A trip to the museum at 809 East Lawn, Urbana, is well worth your time.

The museum’s current hours (10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday), though, may not fit your schedule. Budget limitations keep the museum a hidden treasure.

The museum’s Nov. 7 ballot issue will extend hours to at least five days a week, pay a full-time director, fund new school programming and attract visitors – for a small investment of $10 for a $100,000 property.
