PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

What a special girl, our girl, Piggs, is and this sweet 2-year-old Lab/Cattle dog mix has had such a rough life in that 2 years. She was brought to us as a stray several months ago and during her initial vet check was diagnosed with heart worm. She was treated, has recovered and is now a healthy and active girl who would make an excellent running buddy, as she has tons of energy and enjoys the outdoors. She is good with kids and most other dogs.

Please stop and meet this girl who is looking forward to a new and happy life. She is waiting at PAWS in Urbana.

Champaign County Animal Welfare League

We, at Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL), welcome you to meet Max, our beautiful male Mastiff. Max is an owner relinquish because he growled at a 3-year old. Because of this, we cannot allow Max to be adopted to a family with young children. Max has been around older children and has never exhibited any negative behavior toward them. He is a big boy, weighing in at 122 pounds and is three-years old. Max is cheerful and gets along well with other cats and dogs. He is also house-trained and neutered. The Mastiff is one of the most ancient types of dog breeds and makes a fine companion for anyone who can accommodate his great size and doesn’t mind a little drool slung here and there. Max has been fully vetted including neutering, heart worm testing, and fully vaccinated including rabies, worming, and treated with heart worm and flea prevention. We are also vaccinating all of our dogs with the H3N2 Flu Vaccine to combat the dog flu that has entered the area. Max has been micro-chipped and comes with his 2017 dog license CCAWL is located at 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg, OH, and our phone number is 937-834-5236. We are closed on Sunday and Tuesday and you may call us for our exact hours each day. An application is required in order to adopt and this can be found online or in house. Our adoption fee is $150 cash or check.

We appreciate your donations of paper towels, leashes, harnesses and collars. Also, please come by and pick up a volunteer application if you would enjoy being a part of this caring enterprise.

Stay tuned for information regarding the grand opening of our new facility the end of October. Also we will be holding a low cost micro-chip and vaccination clinic on Saturday, November 4th. This can also include a heart-worm test if desired. We will announce the hours on a later date.
