Falcons down Jets in softball

SPRINGFIELD – Graham defeated Northeastern, 8-0, in non-league softball on Thursday.

For the Falcons, Madison Bryant was 3-for-4 with a home run and a triple, Alli Neeld, Ashton Curnutte and Delila Meyers each went 2-for-4 and Madi VanScoy had a double.

Graham (13-4, 7-3 CBC) plays at Lehman today.

Graham wins in baseball

Josh Lewis drove in four runs as Graham beat Sidney, 11-7, in non-league baseball on Thursday.

Andy Milligan earned the win for the Falcons.

Graham’s doubleheader at Springfield on Saturday will begin at 11 a.m.

Cougars top Indians

Kenton Ridge defeated Mechanicsburg, 3-0, in non-league softball on Thursday.

For the Indians, Francys King was 2-for-3 and Elysha Stapleton was 1-for-3

Mechanicsburg will host Catholic Central today for Parents’ Night and also Strike Out Cancer.

Triad wins in softball

SPRINGFIELD – Triad defeated Catholic Central, 15-0, in five innings of OHC softball on Thursday.

Abby Ehrenborg hit another home run, going 2-for-3. Ali Dixon was 2-for-2 with a triple, Brianna Eaton was 2-for-2 with a double and a triple and Makenzie Cauley was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles.

Triad (13-10, 8-3 OHC) hosts West Liberty-Salem today.

Triad baseball wins

Triad defeated Catholic Central, 10-1, in OHC baseball on Thursday.

For the Cardinals, Briley Harlan was 2-for-3 with an RBI, Isaiah Bruce was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, Dustin Bruce was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI, Alec Ober was 2-for-4 and Austin Ober was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Triad (15-3, 11-0 OHC) will play at Tecumseh today.

WL-S softball prevails

WL-S defeated Madison Plains, 13-1, in 5 innings on Thursday in OHC softball.

Sydnee Payer was the winning pitcher. For the Tigers (15-4, 11-1), Kenedie Cox was 3-for-3 with 3 stolen bases, Grace Woodruff was 2-for-3 and Dierdre McGill was 2-for-2.

WL-S jayvees win

WL-S beat Madison Plains, 10-5, in jayvee baseball. Tyler Motzko earned the win, Ethan Larson was 3 for 3, Vanhorn 3 for 4, Zech Wilcox had 4 RBI and Glock, Motzko and Hamilton all had 2 RBI.

Urbana baseball falls

Greenon beat Urbana, 7-6, in eight innings of CBC baseball on Thursday.

For the Hillclimbers, Caleb Peterson was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI, Kaleb Bowdle was 4-for-5 with an RBI and Logan Rooney was 4-for-5.

Urbana (10-10) committed four errors in the loss.

The Hillclimbers will play at Bellefontaine on Monday.

UHS wins in tennis

Urbana beat Kenton Ridge, 4-1, in CBC boys tennis on Thursday.

At first singles, Andrew Fansler beat Nick Shonkwiler, 6-4, 7-6 (1).

At second singles, Bailey Ullah beat Zack Thompson, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.

At third singles, Abe Angles beat Keaton Campbell, 6-1, 6-0.

At first doubles, Hudson Stouffer and Trevor Johnson lost to Jameson Zink and Austin Paul, 6-4, 6-3.

And at second doubles, Alex Swank and Ethan Burnside beat Kacey Miller and Kolton Tyson, 6-4, 6-4.

Urbana (9-8) plays at Northeastern today.
