COLUMBUS – Urbana’s Luc Russell won the Division II individual state bowling title on Saturday and the Hillclimbers finished seventh as a team.
Russell rolled a 241-236-220/697 to edge Girard’s Donny Bishop (684).
For the Hillclimbers, Kyle Beavers was 14th (625), Andru Troyer 65th (511), Taylor Armstrong 69th (507) and Caleb Peterson had games of 184 and 198.
Graham was also in action, with Brady Oder finishing 49th (556). Dalton Oder was 50th (552), Nate Evans was 75th (490), Emerson Bruce had games of 188 and 180, Tanner Monaghan rolled a 165 and Patrick Trace had a 118.
In the team championship, Urbana qualified as the six-seed. But the Hillclimbers lost in the opening round to Struthers, 210-147-243-165-193 to 165-156-172-259-191.
St. Mary’s Memorial won the team championship over Hillsboro.
