PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

Halloween is almost here, so why not adopt a cute little pumpkin and white tiger kitten? Julius has a sunny personality just like his color. He is a delightful kitten who loves to snuggle. Julius is a friendly boy who likes people and chasing toys. He enjoys sitting on your lap or just hanging out with you. Julius has a great purr and has fun playing with the other kittens. He is up to date on his shots. Julius has been wormed and tested negative for feline leukemia. He is litter box trained. Julius will have neuter certificate when adopted. Consider adopting this adorable pumpkin colored kitten for a real Halloween treat.

Stop by Paws Animal Shelter, 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, Urbana, Ohio 43078, or call Paws at 937-653-6233. The Shelter hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-5 p.m., Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday and Monday-closed. You can email us at [email protected]. Visit us at www.facebook.com/paws.urbana. There are many wonderful cats, adorable kittens and fun-loving dogs at the shelter waiting for good homes. Paws Animal Shelter needs donations of Purina Kitten Chow, Purina Complete Cat Chow, Purina Dog Chow and Purina Puppy Chow. We also could use donations of bleach, laundry detergent, 39 gallon trash bags and clumping cat litter. We are a nonprofit organization that operates only by donations. We do not receive any city, county or state funding. We depend on public donations and our adoption fees to run the shelter. Please consider making a donation to help fund our shelter. This is puppy and kitten season. We often get in puppies or kittens with no mother. Consider fostering puppies or kittens. Sign up on our foster list. We are always looking for volunteers to come to the shelter and help out. You could play with the cats or dogs to help socialize them.

PAWS Animal Shelter (dog)

Sammy is the cutest little guy. He is full of energy and very lovable and available at PAWS Animal Shelter. Sammy is only about 1 year old, he’s just a puppy ready and willing to be trained. Sammy’s adorable face makes it impossible to look at him without smiling. Sammy, in the short time he has been here, has not gotten along well with a few of the other dogs. He may need some special time and patience learning introductions to another dog in the family. Sammy has not been tested with the felines yet. This boy gets along with all humans… kids included. Please consider this sweet boy if you are considering a new family addition.

All of our dogs are looking for a loving home where they can be taken care of for the rest of their lives.

“If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went.” – Will Rogers – You will think you are in heaven when you meet our boy Apache. He is an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler) and is very laid back. He is a one-year old little man who weighs 36 pounds. Contrary to the breeds’ usual personality, he is not a high energy dog and would love to just lie around and be with you all day. Although Apache came to us from a puppy-mill, he is very social and loving. He is fine with adults and children and indifferent to cats. Being recently neutered, Apache is fine with female dogs but can act somewhat alpha with male dogs. Apache, while not formally house-trained, will not do his bathroom duties in his kennel and will wait to go outside.

As with all Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) pets, Apache was completely vetted before being put up for adoption. Apache has been neutered, up to date on all vaccinations including rabies, worming, heart-worm testing and treated with flea and heart-worm prevention. CCAWL adopted dogs are all micro-chipped and have their 2016 dog license and dental cleaning. If you are interested in visiting Apache or any other of the adoptable pets at CCAWL, please call us at 937-834-5236. We are located at 3858 State Route 56, Mechanicsburg, OH, 43044. Dog and Cat adoption applications can be found online at www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com. You may fax an adoption application to 937-834-5171. A complete listing of our available pets may be found at www.petfinder.com and www.adoptapet.com.

CCAWL is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of the pets of Champaign County. We always appreciate your donations of bleach, paper towels, collars, leashes, Clorox wipes and laundry detergent. We are currently in need of Q-tips, Laundry Detergent and Dryer Sheets.

If you are looking to support CCAWL by volunteering, we would love to meet you. Applications may be picked up at our location. We also require proof of a current tetanus shot to accompany the completed application.

Social and loving with adults and children, Apache “lived” in a puppy-mill before arriving at the Champaign County Animal Welfare League. Oh, and he seems indifferent to cats.
