WL-S golf team advances to district tourney

For the Tigers, who advances to next week’s district tournament, Dillon Callicoat shot an 80 and finished 3rd overall, Max Eggleston had an 87 and finished 10th overall, Kannon Stillings had a 91, Michael Frederick a 104 and Logan Brown a 108.

“We are really pleased to be moving on to the district tournament,” said WL-S Coach Darrin Leichty. “The course was set up as difficult as any we have seen this year and for the most part we handled it well. We got off to a good start on the first nine, but scoring became much more difficult on our back nine. We have a little over a week to prepare for a new district site that we have never played.”
