Route 68 crash injures 1

A crash between a car and a dump truck sent a local man to the hospital with injuries. According to information from the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office, David Current – age 64 of DeGraff – was operating a 2002 Kenworth Dump Truck when he stopped to turn left into the Champaign County Community Center on south U.S. Route 68. Current was struck from behind by Clark Brinnon – age 60 of Urbana – operating a 2014 Ford Focus. Brinnon was transported to Mercy Memorial Hospital’s emergency room by Urbana EMS with non life-threatening injuries. Brinnon was then transported from Mercy via CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
