Loki is a happy, chocolate and tan Terrier/Aussie mix. At one-and-a-half, he is a well-mannered boy who loves to walk and cuddle. Loki would prefer to be the only dog and is not good with cats. He, however, loves to be around children and is very gentle around smaller kids. Like all Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) pets, Loki is completely vetted prior to adoption. Included in the $130 adoption donation is spaying/neutering, vaccinations including rabies, worming, heart-worm testing and treated with flea and heart-worm prevention. CCAWL adopted dogs also come micro-chipped and have their 2016 dog license and dental cleaning. If you are interested in visiting Loki or any other pets at CCAWL, please call us at 937-834-5236. We are located at 3858 SR 56, Mechanicsburg, OH, 43044. Our hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. We are closed Tuesday and Sunday. If later hours are needed, appointments are available. Dog and cat adoption applications can be found online at www.champaigncountyanimalwelfareleague.com. You may fax an adoption application to 937-834-5171. A complete listing of our available pets can be found at petfinder.com and adoptapet.com. To help with the feral cat problem, the Champaign County Animal Welfare League’s TNR Task Force is sponsoring a no cost, trap, neuter and return “TNR” blitz in St. Paris on Wednesday, May 4. Feral cats will be humanely trapped in the village on Tuesday, May 3, and will be sterilized, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated on May 4 at the CCAWL clinic and returned back to their location on May 5. During the trapping on Tuesday would be a good time to keep your personal cat inside. Trapping “TNR” will continue weekly for as long as it takes to get the feral overpopulation sterilized. If you are interested in becoming a part of the CCAWL TNR Task Force or would like to help sponsor our cause, please contact us by calling 937-834-5236. Check out our Facebook page for details and specific trapping target areas.
