

Triad defeated Catholic Central 15-0 in five innings of Ohio Heritage Conference baseball on Tuesday.
The Triad pitchers combined for a no-hitter, with four pitchers combining to throw the five innings.
For THS, Shane Ford went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI, Trent McIntyre was 2-for-2, Trevor Instine had 2 RBI, Briley Harlan was 3-for-3 with a triple and 2 RBI, Derek McCall was 2-for-2 and Jacob Greve had 3 RBI.
Cardinals run-rule Irish
Triad defeated Catholic Central in a lopsided OHC softball game Tuesday.
The Cardinals had batted through the rotation a few times and held a lead of more than 15 runs in the second inning when players began intentionally leaving base early to secure outs for Catholic Central.
Triad’s jayvee team lost to Troy, 11-0. Addie Legge was 1-for-3 with a steal and Satu Rantanen was 1-for-1.
The jayvee team also lost to Greeneview 12-11 on March 29. Audrey Lightle was 4-for-5 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI, Julia Elliott was 3-for-3 and MacKenzie Cauley was 3-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI.
Indian baseball wins
Mechanicsburg defeated Northeastern 10-6 in OHC baseball on Tuesday.
For the Indians, Joey Butsch was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored, Dylan Hartman was 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI, Caleb Newsome was 3-for-4 with a double and 3 runs scored, Colton McMannis was 2-for-2 with an RBI and 2 runs scored and Tim Miller was 3-for-3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored.
Corey Bogan pitched a complete game to get the win, striking out 7 batters.
“Our boys played really well tonight. We were a little shaky defensively at times, but this is a good stepping stone – a good win for our program,” M’burg Coach Bryan Eyink said.
Indian softball loses
Mechanicsburg lost to Northeastern 2-1 in 8 innings of OHC softball on Tuesday.
The game was tied at 1-1 after 7 innings, with the Jets able to scratch a run across in the top of the 8th to win.
Elysha Stapleton had an RBI and a single and also struck out 7 batters from the circle. Mary Mayo had the only other hit for the Indians.
M’burg (3-1) hosts Fairbanks on Thursday.
Urbana baseball loses
Greenon scored a run in the bottom of the 7th inning to grind out a 6-5 win over Urbana in CBC/MRD baseball on Tuesday.
Caleb Peterson was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI for the Hillclimbers, while Logan Rooney was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
The Hillclimbers (4-3) host Bellefontaine on Thursday.
UHS wins in softball
Urbana defeated Greenon, 11-3, in CBC/MRD softball on Tuesday.
Standouts for Urbana included Katy Curnutte, 4-4 with a double, home run and 5 RBI, Cassidy James 2-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI and Hannah Alvoid 7 innings pitched with 7 strikeouts.
Falcon softball wins
Graham defeated Indian Lake 4-3 in CBC/MRD softball on Tuesday.
Madison Bryant was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and struck out 11 batters in her win from the circle. Melany Robbins was 2-for-2 with a double and 2 RBI, McKenzie Smith was 2-for-3 and Morgan Rush was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
Graham (5-0, 3-0 CBC) is scheduled to host Tecumseh on Thursday.
Tigers thump Southeastern
West Liberty-Salem defeated Southeastern 11-0 in five innings of OHC softball on Tuesday.
For the Tigers, Kylie Gilroy was 3-for-3 with a home run, Olivia Ames was 2-for-2, Kelsey Day was 2-for-4 with a triple and Grace Woodruff was 2-for-4.

Southeastern defeated West Liberty-Salem 4-2 in OHC baseball on Tuesday.
