






TROY – The District 9 Coaches Association held its annual Senior All-Star games at Troy High School on Thursday. Athletes in Divisions I, II and III participated.
In the girls’ contest, Katy Curnutte (Urbana), Jamie Peterson (West Liberty-Salem) and Jenna Ober (Triad) all started for the South team. Urbana’s Natalie Seeberg came off the bench.
In the boys’ contest, Urbana’s Jordan Underwood and Cameron Logwood started, with West Liberty-Salem’s Austin Miller coming out of reserve.
A trio of Champaign County underclassmen were honored between games, with Graham’s Andrew Ford, WL-S’s Kannon Stillings and Urbana’s Hunter Rogan each taking home underclassmen all-star awards. Peterson picked up Player of the Year honors in Division III, with WL-S Coach Darrin Leichty named boys Co-Coach of the Year in Division III and WL-S Coach Dennis McIntosh named girls Co-Coach of the Year in Division III.
