Urbana knocks off Northwestern, 69-27


SPRINGFIELD – Jordan Underwood scored a game-high 20 points as Urbana beat Northwestern, 69-27, Friday night in CBC/MRD boys basketball.

“We had a nice, balanced scoring night,” said Urbana Coach Jeremy Dixon. “We accomplished what we wanted to accomplish, and it’s always good to win a league game on the road.”

For the Hillclimbers (5-1, 3-0), Levi Boettcher had 15 points, Riley Emmons had 13 and Kalen Howell added 11.

Northwestern is now 2-5, 1-2.

Urbana won the jayvee game, 50-11, led by Alex Lohnes’ 15 points.

UHS plays at Hilliard Davidson tonight.

Ben Logan tops Graham

BELLEFONTAINE – Ben Logan defeated Graham, 55-49, in CBC/MRD boys basketball on Friday.

The Raiders led, 19-8, at the end of the first quarter and 29-24 at the half.

Ben Logan owned a 40-34 lead after three periods.

For the Falcons (1-6, 1-2), Andrew Ford had 15 points.

Ben Logan is now 4-3, 1-2.

The Falcons host Northeastern on Monday.
