WL-S boys fall to Central in soccer

The West Liberty-Salem boys soccer team lost to Springfield Catholic Central, 3-1, on Tuesday in OHC action.

The Tigers closed the gap to 2-1 just 3 minutes into the second half but could get no closer. Ralph Levan scored for the Tigers from a Cole McDaniel assist. Elias Kirker-Napiorkowski had 7 saves in goal for the Tigers.

The Tigers (4-3) host OHC-leading Greeneview on Thursday at 730 p.m.

WL-S loses in golf

WL-S lost to Catholic Central, 167-177, in OHC boys golf.

For the Tigers (3-7), Dillon Callicoat had a 39, Max Eggleston a 39, Michael Frederick a 46, Tylar Jett a 53 and Tyler Gardner a 58.

Urbana golfers fall

The Urbana boys golf team lost to Greenon, 175-188 at Urbana Country Club. Urbana was led by Greg Coffey’s 44, josh Blakely had a 46, Sklyer Reisinger a 48, Trenton Dunham a 50 and Taylor Armstrong a 53.

Urbana lost to Northwestern, 175-196, at Windy Knoll.

Graham girls lose

Graham lost to Shawnee, 199-228, in CBC girls golf.

For Graham, Mallory Roberts was medalist with a 47 and Mollie Greenlee shot a 55.

Graham also lost to Urbana, 202-228. Maggie Paulsen was medalist with a 45.

Triad girls fall to Greenon

The Triad girls golf team lost to Greenon, 214-216, in non-league action.

Triad was led by Chasity Curton with a 50, Macy Linscott had a 52, Sabrina Thompson a 56, Jess Woodard a 58 and Jen Pelfrey a 58.

Junior high volleyball

The WL-S 7th graders lost to Catholic Central, 25-13, 25-6. Olivia Muirhead had 6 serve receives and Maddie Hutton had 3 assists for the Tigers.

The WL-S 8th graders won, 25-7, 18-25, 25-18. Kennah Erwin led theTigers with 11 aces and 3 serve receives and Sydnee Payer added 4 kills.

Junior high football

Graham’s 8th grade football team beat Tipp City, 14-0, to improve to 2-0 on the season.
