Cardinals top Falcons in cold baseball game

NORTH LEWISBURG – Triad defeated Graham, 10-7, in non-league baseball action on Monday. The game was originally scheduled to be played at Graham High School, but wet field conditions necessitated the game be moved.

Graham held the lead until Triad was able to plate four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning.

For Triad, Isaiah Bruce had 2 RBI and Derek McCall had 2 RBI. Shane Ford was 3-for-4.

Graham’s Brandon Thompson went 2-for-5, Will Wells had a triple and 2 RBI and Josh Lewis was 2-for-3.

Falcons sweep Rams

Graham defeated Greeneview, 13-3 and 11-1, on Saturday in non-league baseball.

In the first game, Graham opened with five runs in the first inning and never relented. Josh Lewis and Mark Ward each had 3 RBI for the Falcons, while Will Wells tallied 3 hits.

In the second game, Graham held a narrow 2-1 lead until the fourth, when the Falcons opened it up with five more runs. Brandon Thompson recorded 3 hits and Jacob Peters had 3 RBI.
