Champaign County Animal Welfare League (dog)

The Champaign County Animal Welfare League (CCAWL) is pleased to introduce Brock, a one-year-old Shepherd mix. He is a very outgoing bundle of joy and love. Brock is good with other dogs and seems to be house trained. If you are interested, we can easily cat-test him for you. He loves people, but may knock down a small child as he needs a patient owner to work with him on proper dog manners. Brock would love for someone to give him lots of attention at all times. He is neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccinations including the following: BivalentFlu, Bordetella, Da2PPL, and Rabies. Brock has been dewormed and heart worm tested negative. He is current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. If you would like to meet Brock, just fill out an adoption application, which may be found on our webpage www.champaigncoanimalwelfareleague.com or stop by our facility during our business hours.

Barely Used Pets (dog)

My name is Ella Sue and I came here from Kentucky. I am a terrier mix girl and I weigh about 25 pounds. I can sit and I will speak for a treat. I love to walk on a leash and really, really like people. I get along with other dogs and don’t even mind that big orange cat girl that lives here. I have already had my shots and I am scheduled to be spayed. My adoption fee is $150. and that includes my dog license. Won’t you please come and see me? We could share some treats. Well, maybe you could give ME some treats and I’ll show you my “speak” that I’ve learned. But what I really need is a forever person to love me and take long walks with me. Please find a place in your heart and your home for me. I promise to be a very, very good girl!

PAWS Animal Shelter (cat)

Griffin was born at Paws Animal Shelter in July 2012, and he is still looking for his forever home. Griffin is a super nice, very affectionate cat. He’s extremely friendly and just loves attention. He gets along well with most cats, but he sometimes bullies the orange cats in the cattery where he lives. He’d be a terrific addition to virtually any family (unless you have orange cats!). Griffin has been waiting a very long time for a family to adopt him, so if you have room, please consider adopting this sweet boy.

PAWS is located at 1535 W. U.S. Route 36, just west of Urbana. Contact PAWS at 937-653-6233 or [email protected] for information about volunteer opportunities and donation needs. Hours are Tuesday thru Friday noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday noon to 4 p.m. All PAWS cats and kittens may be found on Petfinder.com.
