MECHANICSBURG – At approximately 8:38 a.m Monday, Champaign County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 8000 block of east state Route 29 in response to a one-vehicle injury accident.
According to the sheriff’s office, initial investigation revealed Mary Ruby of Gratis was westbound on Route 29, exited the north side of the roadway and rolled a 2002 Mitsubishi. Ruby was flown from the scene via Medflight. The investigation continues.
A woman was injured after a crash on east Route 29 Monday morning. A medical helicopter airlifted her for treatment.
