The Ohio Federation of Republican Women (OFRW) announced the addition of the Champaign County Republican Women’s Club (CCRWC) to its member club list.

“We are proud and excited to be part of the OFRW,” said club president Kathy DeWeese. “Our members will strive to accomplish the club’s objectives through participation, volunteerism and outreach at community events while working to grow our club membership.”

The OFRW recommended the CCRWC for chartering and the NFRW approved a Federation Charter for the club. The Charter was officially issued by the NFRW on March 23, 2017. Members of the CCRWC will work to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government, disseminate information to all members, inform the public through political education and activity, foster loyalty to the Republican Party at all levels of government, increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government, promote the principles of the Republican Party, work for Republican candidates in all elections, and support the objectives and policies of the Republican National Committee.

“We are thrilled to add the Champaign County Republican Women’s Club to our Federation,” OFRW President Lyn Bliss stated. “We currently have 57 clubs across Ohio. The mission of the OFRW is to inform, engage and advocate for the principles set forth by the Republican Party. I am sure this club will provide positive action in accomplishing that mission.”

At the OFRW’s Spring Conference held in South Euclid, the CCRWC was presented its Official Charter by NFRW District Eight Director Ann Schockett and OFRW President Lyn Bliss.

The OFRW, founded in 1929, is a statewide organization of hundreds of members in constituent clubs. It is the largest, most powerful political organization in Ohio providing the avenue for women to influence policy, develop candidates, and elect the leaders of Ohio. The OFRW is a multi-generational, multi-cultural organization providing the structure and support for political activists to learn, engage, and flourish. It is Federated under the National Federation of Republican Women. For more information regarding the OFRW, please visit www.ohfrw.com.

Founded in 1938, the NFRW represents the party that first made it possible for women to vote in the United States. Today, the NFRW works to increase the effectiveness and relevance of women in the cause of good government. Its mission remains to recruit and elect Republican candidates, promote the principles of the Republican Party, educate the public and inform the media.
