On Sunday, April 21 at 4 p.m., the Gloria Theatre’s Stars on Stage presents “The Chipper Experience! – Where COMEDY & MAGIC Collide!”

Two-time “Comedy Magician of the Year” Chipper Lowell promises “a fun-filled, roller coaster of a show with original, jaw-dropping magic, ad-libs galore, bizarre mind-reading, juggling stunts, razor-sharp wit, and nonstop audience interaction.”

“It’s fantastic, family fun for ages 9 to 99,” said Staci Weller, Gloria’s executive director.

Chipper has starred on the CW’s popular “Masters of Illusion” for all 10 seasons, and has also appeared on The Tonight Show, the Disney Channel, America’s Funniest People, Don’t Blink!, Show Me The Funny! and more.

The red-headed comedian and magician started his career at an early age, traveling with his show business parents all around the globe in a variety of circuses, stage productions, and large arena shows. His parents first met when they were both performing in Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus in the 1950s and ’60s, his mom, an aerialist, and his dad, a well-known clown. It was no wonder that Chipper would continue in the entertainment business, with his own critically acclaimed show, touring throughout the United States and around the world.

His performances have received glowing reviews from critics and fans alike.

“Well, I guess you could say that no two shows are really ever alike,” said Chipper, “because each audience is different and the people I invite up onstage or chat with in the crowd are different with each show, and it brings an exciting sense of unpredictability to the show which everyone truly enjoys.”

He has entertained celebrities such as Denzel Washington, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Gary Busey, Norman Lear, and Amy Smart to name a few. Chipper has also appeared on stage with Paul Williams, Paul Reiser, Jerry Seinfeld, Garry Shandling, Michael Bolton, the Lennon Sisters, the Osmond Brothers, and many others.

Chipper has also been awarded “Specialty Act of the Year,” and nominated twice for “Stage Magician of the Year.” The visual comedian has recently been listed among the “Top Funniest Magicians Performing Today!” by MAGIC Magazine. The American Entertainment Awards has called him “Absolutely Hilarious!”

Chipper says: “I’m really having a blast wherever I perform, and the audiences have been outstanding. I have always tried to make magic fun and cool again, and a great time for all ages, especially the adults and parents who might be a little jaded by it these days. They get to experience it all live and in-the-moment, right in front of their eyes … And hopefully they’ll laugh like crazy as well. And that, for me, is the most rewarding part of my job as both a comedian and magician.”

Commenting on the Gloria’s second season of Stars on Stage, Weller said: “We promised a variety of world class, professional, performing artists and The Chipper Experience is wonderfully different from any of our other shows this year.
