Mock crash sends powerful message

NORTH LEWISBURG – On Friday, Oct. 6, Triad High School was the scene of a very powerful message for students, staff, and various community members who witnessed the event.

Through the efforts of local first responders, the aftermath of a mock car accident was presented in the student parking area at Triad High School.

From the initial moments of the accident to the removal of crash victims by law enforcement, EMS, and the county coroner, the scene was demonstrated from start-to-finish to the crowd of spectators.

The mock accident was a planned effort prior to the homecoming dance to promote awareness of the dangers of distracted driving and driving under the influence.
