SPRINGFIELD – Meadowdale held off Urbana, 56-50, in overtime in the Division II boys basketball sectional.
Meadowdale led, 17-13, at the end of the first quarter but the Hillclimbers rallied to take a 26-25 lead at the half.
Meadowdale led, 39-37, after three quarters and the score was tied, 48-48, at the end of the fourth period.
Urbana was out-scored, 8-2, in the OT.
The Hillclimbers finish the season at 16-8 overall and as co-champions of the CBC/MRD with Indian Lake.
Triad loses
PIQUA – Russia beat Triad, 88-22, in the Division IV boys basketball sectional.
The Cardinals finish the season at 5-17 overall.
