URBANA – Michael A. Taylor, 69, of Urbana passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023 in Urbana.
He was born Aug. 9, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Fred and Lillian Mae Taylor.
Michael was a 1972 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School.
He worked on the grounds crew at Woodland Golf Club for many years and later at Urbana Country Club. At UCC, he specialized in mowing the greens.
Michael was an avid golfer, and as a teenager, he caddied at UCC for Squire Caldwell and Truman Johnson.
Michael is survived by his niece, Deborah Collins Dixon; great-nieces and nephews, Mike Jones, Kevin Rogan, Ashley Rogan and Andreaja (Sarah) Collins and 17 great-great-nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; loving wife Wanda (Cornelison) Taylor and sister, Willie Mae Collins (Herman).
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2023 in SKILLMAN, MCDONALD & VERNON Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m.
