MECHANICSBURG – Olivia Skillings scored a game-high 20 points as Mechanicsburg defeated West Liberty-Salem, 61-45, in OHC girls basketball.
The Indians out-scored the Tigers, 41-27, in the second half.
For Mechanicsburg (17-3, 14-1), Addie DeLong had 18 points, Dani Schipfer had 13 and Emily Conley added 10.
For WL-S (12-9, 10-5), Megan Hollar had 17 points and Lilly Weaver added 11.
The Tigers won the jayvee game, 32-19. For WL-S, Laila Butler had 12 points.
Tonight, Mechanicsburg plays at Greeneview and WL-S hosts Fairbanks.
JH basketball
Urbana’s 8th grade boys beat Kenton Ridge, 60-51. For UJHS, Grady Lantz had 26 points and Kaden Underwood added 18.
The Urbana 7th grade boys won, 50-29. For UJHS, Crew Forson and Case Teepe each had 14 points.
In the OHC 7th grade girls tournament, WL-S defeated Mechanicsburg, 36-12. For WL-S, Addi Wallen had 22 points and Arianna Weaver added 9.
Mechanicsburg did not report stats.
The Tigers will play in the championship game vs. Fairbanks today at noon.
WL-S’s 7th grade boys beat West Jefferson, 40-22. For the Tigers (16-0), Zade Beileski had 12 points and Beckett Sullivan and Asher Cole each had 7.
Bowling
Greenon swept WL-S in girls and boys bowling in OHC action.
