WEST JEFFERSON – Bailey Poppe scored 15 points as WL-S defeated West Jefferson, 48-37, in OHC girls basketball.
The Tigers led, 25-11, at the half.
For WL-S (10-9, 9-5), Gabby Williams had 9 points and Chaley Wade, Megan Hollar and Lilly Weaver each added 8.
WL-S won the jayvee game, 27-18. For the Tigers, Caitlyn King had 8 points.
WL-S hosts Jonathan Alder on Tuesday.
JH basketball
In 7th grade boys basketball, Urbana beat Northridge, 45-39. For UJHS (13-1), Grady Lantz had 17 points, Kaden Underwood had 11 and Larkin Moore added 9.
Northridge won the 8th grade game, 48-45. For UJHS (7-8), JJ Johnson had 18 points, Gavin Dyer had 12 and Brody Donahoe added 9.
