Thompson elected to Peoples board of directors

Dr. Charles Wingfield, chairman of the Board of Directors of The Peoples Savings Bank, announced the recent election of Bryan Thompson to the bank’s board of directors.

Thompson is owner and pharmacist of The Medicine Shoppe at 821 Scioto St., Urbana.

He grew up in Clark County and is a graduate of Shawnee High School. He is also a graduate of Ohio Northern University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree of Pharmacy.

He is active in many local community affairs such as a board member of the Champaign County Arts Council, member of the Urbana Lions Club and the Board of Trustees of the Grimes Foundation.

Wingfield said, “We are quite proud to have a person of Bryan’s educational background and business experience as the newest member of our Board. Bryan’s proven commitment to serve the local community matches the philosophy of the bank and Bryan is proud and honored to be a part of keeping our bank committed to the local community for which we serve. His involvement in the community is a testament of his desire to make our community a great place to live, work and play.”

Thompson and his wife, Jodi, are the proud parents of two boys, Braydon and Collin, who attend West Liberty-Salem Schools.

The Peoples Savings Bank is a state-chartered mutual savings bank with two offices in Urbana and over $118 million in total assets. Thompson joins Wingfield, Harley Davidson, Brice Kadel, Allen Kinzer, Gregory Stocksdale, Scott DeLong and Brian Nicol on the bank’s board.
