WL-S Winter Sports Awards

Recently, West Liberty-Salem High School hosted its annual Winter Athletic Awards Ceremonies.

Among the many athletes honored, there were many outstanding accomplishments.

In boys basketball, a 4 year participation plaque went to Adam Schultz, Tyler Louden, Dillon Callicoat, who also received the varsity hustle award and Kannon Stillings, who received a 4 year letter and MVP. Scholar athlete went to Braden Miller. JV hustle went to Eli McGill. Freshman hustle went to Caleb Siegenthaler. Defensive award went to Neil Markin. Most improved went to Trevor Burden.

In girls basketball, Mikalia McIntosh received a 4 year participation plaque and a 4 year letter. Laine Godwin was the Scholar athlete and received the varsity hustle award. Lily Yoder received a 3 year letter and the most valuable offensive award. JV hustle went to Hallie Strapp. Gabby Hollar received the most valuable defensive award. Kelsie Day was the most improved.

In wrestling, Charlie Williams received a 3 year letter and most improved. Tanner Workman received a 4 year participation, a 4 year letter and MVP. Varsity hustle went to Zayne Reed.

In cheerleading 4 year participation went to Tori Secor, Claire Harr, and Kebly Strapp with Claire also receiving scholar athlete and Kelby getting varsity most spirited. Varsity hustle went to Makenna Floyd.

JV most spirited to Bexley Harrigan and most improved to Makenzie Woodruff.

In bowling, a 4 year participation and a 4 year letter went to Erica McCall along with having high average.

3 year letters went to Sarah Daulton, Rachel Larson, Lauren Hostetler and Michael Price. Lauren and Michael were both scholar athletes with Michael having high average. Varsity hustles went to Hailee Clifford and Isaac Riblet. Sportsmanship went to Sarah Daulton and Logan Thompkins. Most Improved went to Ashlyn Parks and Hunter Smith.
