The Rosewood Livestock 4H club met Sunday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. at the Lensman home. We had 17 members present. The 4H pledge was led by Claire Lensman. Since it was our first meeting of the year, we went around and introduced ourselves in place of roll call. One of our advisors, Mindy Lensman, handed out ribbons from 4H 2016.
We elected our officers. They are as follows:
President: Karson Anway
Vice President: Claire Lensman
Secretary: Madison Gibson
Treasurer: Blake Hoffer
News Reporter: Malia Quesenberry
Health & Safety Officer: Whytney Faulkner
Recreation Leader: Jake Ludlow
We are going to have a fundraiser on Sunday, April 2nd 2017 at the Star Pig Sale at the Champaign County Fairgrounds. We each will work a shift from 4-6 pm or 6-8 pm.
We have two Cloverbud members this year. Their names are Cooper Breslin and Drake Lensman
The skillathons this year are as follows:
Horses: July 17, 2017
Beef: July 18, 2017
Swine: July 22, 2017
The 2017 Pork Banquet will be held in March. The day is yet to be determined.
There will be two 4-H camps this year. They will be held June 26-30 and July 5-9. There is also a Cloverbud camp on June 15-16.
We voted on club dues and decided that we will all pay $20.00 and this is due by April 2, 2017.
In regards to recreation, we are planning on taking a trip to the OSU Livestock area and Woodside Veterinary Office. The date is still be determined.
Our next meeting will be held and the Lensman home on Sunday March 12, 2017 at 5:00PM
