Catholic Central boys top Mechanicsburg


MECHANICSBURG – The Indians fell to Springfield Catholic Central, 79-48, in OHC boys basketball on Friday.

The Irish opened up a 23-7 lead after a quarter and never looked back.

Chris Taylor scored 19 points and Joey Mascadri had 14 for the Indians.

SCC won the jayvee game, 52-21. Mack DeLong led the way for MHS with 7 points in that game.

JH basketball

Urbana beat Northwestern, 33-21, in 7th grade boys basketball.

Mike Peterson had 9 points and Aaron Norris and Max Keely each added 8 for UJHS.

Northwestern won the 8th grade boys game, 49-30.

Greeneview beat Triad, 47-16, in 8th grade boys basketball. For Triad, Wyatt Cave had 4 points and Jacob Warner had 4 points.

Greeneview won the 7th grade boys game, 39-35. For Triad, Gage Phillips had 10 points and Ayden Spriggs had 9.

The WL-S 8th grade boys basketball team defeated Mechanicsburg, 47-29. The Tigers (8-3, 8-1) were led by Nick Burden with 20 points and Tanner LeVan with 12.
