Graham boys hold off Yellow Springs

Graham defeated Yellow Springs, 76-65, in non-league boys basketball on Tuesday.

Graham led by 16 points at the half, but Yellow Springs out-scored the Falcons, 16-9, in the third quarter.

The Falcons answered with 19 points in the fourth quarter to hold on for the win.

For Graham – which had 9 three-pointers – Andrew Ford scored 25 points.

9th grade basketball

The Versailles girls basketball team defeated host West Liberty-Salem, 40-19. Camrin Rice had 7 points and Mya King added 5 for the Tigers.

JH basketball

In 8th grade girls basketball, Triad beat Marysville, 43-18. For Triad (9-2), Baylie Plank had 11 points and 6 rebounds, Frani LeVan had 9 points and 6 rebounds and Cati LeVan had 7 points and 7 rebounds.

In 8th grade boys basketball, Marysville beat Triad, 36-26. For Triad, Batai Lease had 10 points and Drew Campbell had 9.

Marysville won the 7th grade boys game, 52-25. For Triad, Ayden Sanford had 12 points and Wyatt Cole had 6.

This Friday night during the West Liberty-Salem home boys basketball game vs. Northeastern, any military personnel who attend the game will get in for free.

The West Liberty-Salem athletic department is seeking to fill the following coaching positions: JV girls softball coach and middle school track assistant coach with knowledge/experience in coaching shotput/discus throwers.
