Yoder leads WL-S girls to win over Anna


WEST LIBERTY – Lily Yoder had a game-high 17 points as unbeaten WL-S defeated Anna, 55-27, in non-league girls basketball.

The Tigers led, 30-15, at the half.

Anna (2-4) had 23 turnovers compared to 9 for the Tigers (7-0).

Anna won the jayvee game, 48-18. Camrin Rice had 5 points for the Tigers.

M’burg bowling

For Mechanicsburg in its win over Urbana and Coldwater in boys bowling on Thursday, Caleb Westfall had a 222-201-423, Preston Estep a 201-202-403, Jake Ripley a 190-196-386, David McMahill a 165-214-379 and Peyton O’Laughlin a 178-198-376.

WL-S boys fall

Madison Plains defeated WL-S, 1,815-1,737, in boys bowling on Friday.

For the Tigers, Logan Tompkins had a 115, Hunter Smith a 108, Treven Marchal a 190, Mike Price a 159 and Isaac Riblet a 117.
