WL-S girls rout Springfield Catholic Central


WL-S beat Springfield Catholic Central, 77-23, in OHC girls basketball.

The Tigers led, 17-2, at the end of the first quarter and 41-4 at the half.

Lily Yoder and Taylor Lauck each had 11 points for WL-S.

Cardinals win

Triad defeated Madison Plains, 45-36, in girls basketball on Thursday.

The Cardinals trailed 20-16 at halftime after shooting just 18 percent from the field.

But the offense came alive in the second half. Tori Thomas and Alea Ferguson each scored 12 points to lead the team. Makenzie Cayley had 9 points and 10 rebounds.

In the jayvee game, Triad won, 34-20. Olivia Butz had 12 points and 6 steals.

Triad’s varsity team hosts Shekinah Christian next Thursday.

Graham at Ironman

Graham’s Mitch Moore, Ryan Thomas and Kavan Sarver were alive in the championship quarterfinals at the Ironman after Friday’s rounds.

Alive in the consolations are Tanner Jordan, Jeffrey Thomas, JD Stickley, Joey Sanchez, Gage Braun and Johnny Shafer.
