The Champaign County Library will be hosting a free program on Understanding Medicare at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6.

Whether you are already on Medicare, soon will be, or just want to learn more, this educational workshop will provide an easy to understand overview of Medicare. Learn about the eligibility, important enrollment periods, and penalties to avoid. Attendees will also learn about the two ways most people get their Medicare health coverage.

The Champaign County Library is partnering with MediGold to present this important information to the community. Founded in 1997, MediGold is a not-for-profit Medicare Advantage plan serving seniors and other Medicare beneficiaries in 32 Ohio counties. This program is free and open to the public and is strictly educational. No sales will be pursued at this program.

The Champaign County Library is located at 1060 Scioto St., Urbana. For information on upcoming programs, visit champaigncountylibrary.org or call 937-653-3811.
