On Saturday, April 2, the Champaign County Junior Goat Council hosted a clinic. We would like to thank everyone who came out to support us. We would especially like to thank Dr. Eric Gordon, DVM, for his presentation about health management and diseases in goats. We want to give a big thanks to our sponsors, D&D Hollingsworth, Jeb Farm, Blue Lotus Studio, Heritage Co-op of Urbana, Corner Vision Feeds, TSC of Urbana, Provico, and Mike’s Barn and Yard Connection. Also, thanks to Melinda Morrison for the quality assurance part of our clinic. We would like to thank everyone who participated in the bake sale and silent auction. Great job to Savannah Taynor, Skylar Robinson, Ryan Austin, Brandi Powell, Eli Hollingsworth and Emmalee Cecil on your presentations! We had a great time and are looking forward to the 2016 Champaign County Fair!

Twenty-five area women participated in the 2nd annual Women-on-Target introductory shooting clinic April 16 at the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office range. The women, age 11-78, received basic firearm and archery instruction from certified instructors provided by Champaign County 4-H Shooting Sports, Urbana University Shooting Sports, and Western Ohio Personal Safety/Firearm Training Group. The event was funded by a “Step Outside” grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
