SPRINGFIELD – The cure for winter-itis awaits you at the April 2 Garden Fling. This day of “all things garden” is jam-packed with the remedy for spring fever. Attend one or several garden-related classes during the day.
This year’s keynote speaker is Pamela Bennett, Ohio State University Extension educator. Her topic is Attracting Pollinators to Your Garden at 12:30 p.m. Other presentations include Pests of Perennials, Garden Design, Heirloom Tomatoes, and Darn, I Wish I’d Known That, Ask a Master Gardener and more.
This “come and go as you please” event includes a full day of shopping at the Garden Bazaar and offers many opportunities to escape the winter doldrums and jump-start spring.
Garden Fling is from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kenton Ridge High School, 4444 Middle Urbana Road, Springfield. Doors and vendors open at 8:30 a.m. Garden programs begin at 9 a.m.
Admission is $10 and payable at the door. The event is sponsored by Master Gardeners of Clark County and Ohio State University Extension.
