Dr. Carl Zulauf, professor emeritus at The Ohio State University, will speak at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, at Urbana University about the Farm Bill, one of the most important topics in Ohio agriculture.

His presentation is the second in the Western Ohio Agri-Education Series, a public service sponsored by Urbana University and the Jamon Sellman Nationwide Insurance Agency. Providing relevant, contemporary information for those involved in agriculture, these free presentations are designed to equip all involved in or interested in agriculture with information they need to increase their effectiveness in the field.

A graduate of the Stanford University Food Research Institute, a prolific author of agriculture publications, and the winner of nine teaching awards, Zulauf was raised on a general farm and remains active in the family farm as a share-rent landowner. He specializes in commercial farm policy as well as commodity futures and options markets.

The March 31 event will take place in the Urbana University Student Center, 579 College Way. Visit www.urbana.edu/westernohioagrieducation for more details.
