MECHANICSBURG – The Friends of the Mechanicsburg Public Library will sponsor a Container Kitchen Herb Garden Create-N-Carry Workshop at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, in the library meeting room.

Participants will learn garden designs, how to dry herbs, and recipes for using fresh and dried herbs. Potting soil, gravel and an array of culinary herb plant material will be provided. Attendees can bring their own unique 8- to 10-inch container such as an old metal colander, metal sprinkling can, old metal teapot or other metal objects. Clay pots will be provided for those without containers.

Each created garden will contain three to five herb plants with provided name stakes. The workshop cost is $10 if the person provides his/her own container or $15 per person without a container. Reservations must be made by March 28 as seating is limited. Contact Judy Stoop at 614-561-1018 or [email protected]. A registration form is also available at the library.
