SPRINGFIELD – Mechanicsburg won both the girls’ and boys’ titles at the OHC bowling tournament Tuesday night at Shamrock Lanes.

The girls rolled a 3,764 to win the tournament. Ally Hosier had a 239-232-159/630, Lauren Mayberry had a 216-179-226/621, Katie Bush rolled a 204-180-221/605 and Michaela Edwards added a 165-165-189/519. Skyler Herron had a 177 game, Miranda Keene contributed a 161 and Jenna Alspaugh added a 133.

Hosier was named the conference’s Player of the Year. Bush, Mayberry and Edwards all joined Hosier on the First Team.

The boys rolled a 3,860 to win. Jake Ripley had a 175-237-225/637 and Caleb Westfall had a 188-256-175/619. Ross Parsons added games of 193-182, David McMahill had games of 218-216, Cody Minor had games of 145-233 and Preston Estep chipped in a 169.

Jake Ripley was named the conference’s Player of the Year, with Westfall joining him on the First Team. Estep, McMahill and Parsons were all named to the Second Team.

Junior high basketball

The West Liberty-Salem 7th grade boys beat Northeastern, 34-31, in OT in the OHC tournament. The Tigers were paced by Nick Burden’s 16 points.

The WL-S 8th grade boys defeated Cedarville, 50-27 in the OHC tournament. The Tigers were led by Eli McGill with 17 points and Ethan Cole had 12.

The Triad 8th grade boys beat Southeastern, 28-25, in the OHC tournament. Layne Thompson had 14 points for Triad.
