Looking to continue an outstanding playing career, Urbana University senior linebacker D’Gary Wallace will have an opportunity to put his skills on full display at the Fourth Annual National Bowl this weekend in Miami, Fla.

Kickoff for the all-star game, which features top talent from non-Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools, is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Sunday at Ocean Bank Field at FIU Stadium.

Wallace will wear No. 0 as one of 65 players – and six linebackers – on the Blue Team. The game will give NFL scouts a chance to view and get to know some of the best players from smaller schools.

“This is a job interview that many people don’t get the opportunity to interview for,” Wallace said. “The competition will be much higher than most of my college career, every player in this game is a great player. I’m just focused on giving my best effort and showing the scouts what I can do.”

Sunday’s game will be the first of three postseason all-star games for the UU star.

Wallace, who is UU’s all-time career tackles leader and three-time All-MEC, is set to compete in the 2016 Dream Bowl, hosted at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Va., over Martin Luther King, Jr. Day weekend (Jan. 14-18).

He will also play in the D2 vs. NAIA Challenge, played in Myrtle Beach, S.C., on Saturday, Dec. 19.

The National Bowl will be broadcast as a live stream on the South Florida Sports Network.
