LEAH COLE
PARENTS: Ryan and Julie Cole
School Activities and Awards: NHS, Student Council, Link Crew, Cross Country, Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field, Key Club, Calc Club,
If I were principal for a day: I would declare the month of November “No Homework November” and require teachers not to send any homework home
Favorite school memory: Anything involving my Cross Country or Track team
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents
Because: They are so supportive and selfless regarding everything that they do for me
Lately, I have been reading: The Bible, Water From My Heart by Charles Martin, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
My advice to parents: Encourage your kids to get involved, some of my greatest experiences have come from when my parents gave me a little nudge to join a team or club. And expect greatness, most kids will rise to the challenge of it is given to them.
My biggest regret: Not running cross country my freshman year
Next year I will be: Going to college to study Architectural Engineering
COLE MCDANIEL
PARENTS Clark and Sharon McDaniel
School Activities and Awards: Varsity Soccer: 1st Team OHC and 1st Team Dayton East, NHS, Student Council, Link Crew, Key Club, and Homecoming Committee
If I were principal for a day: No homework, shorten class periods, and send kids home early.
Favorite school memory: Every day at lunch with my closest friends. The Squad is the best!
People who have been an inspiration to me include: My parents
Because: They expect a lot out of me and it makes me expect more as well. As a result I work harder and try at everything I do.
Lately, I have been reading: Lots of information about college.
My advice to parents: Don’t hold your kids back from their dreams just continue to push them towards those dreams. I would like to thank my parents for allowing me to follow mine.
My biggest regret: My biggest regret would have to be not having enough fun my freshman year. I was so focused on school work and soccer that I didn’t get to enjoy my first year of high school.
Next year I will be: Attending Baldwin Wallace University to major in Broadcasting/Mass Communications and minor in Business. I will also be playing for the men’s soccer team.
