SPRINGFIELD – The 2015 Harvest Run for Hunger 5K Run and Family Walk, benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank, will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7, at Buck Creek State Park, Hickory Knoll Pavilion, 1976 Buck Creek Lane in Springfield.
“One in six of our neighbors suffers food insecurity right here in our own communities,” said Tyra Jackson, executive director of Second Harvest Food Bank of Clark, Champaign and Logan Counties. “That’s too many seniors, families and children going hungry to ignore. We can all be part of the effort to ending hunger together. Join in the race against hunger by participating in the Harvest Run for Hunger.”
