ST. PARIS – Free rabies vaccine events will be held Oct. 24 in St. Paris and Urbana.

His Hands Extended Sanctuary, the Humane Society and the SPCA will sponsor the vaccinations at two clinic locations on Oct. 24. From 9 a.m. to noon, the vaccine clinic will be held at the His Hands Extended Sanctuary, 1560 Dialton Road, just outside St. Paris. The clinic will also be held 1-4 p.m. at Tractor Supply Co. (Kroger shopping plaza) in Urbana.

The vaccines are for both cats and dogs. The goal is to provide 100 free vaccines that day. Because of the limited number of free vaccines, registration is required by calling His Hands at 937-663-0015. Participants will receive the vaccine, a rabies certificate and rabies tags for the dog or cat. Animals must be on a leash (dog) or in a secure carrier (cat). The vaccines will be given by a licensed veterinarian.

For more information or to sign up, call His Hands at 937-663-0015.
