Chances are if you already have a library card, then you understand and appreciate the value that comes with having access to today’s library and vast wealth of resources it has to offer. You know the importance of lifelong learning that comes from reading and all of the many doors of opportunity that become available with the power to read. But if you don’t have a library card, there is no better time than now to sign up at the Champaign County Library.

Today’s libraries continue to evolve to satisfy the needs of its users. Likewise, the Champaign County Library offers more than just books, magazines, and movies. No longer are you constrained by the library’s hours of operation as more resources become available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ebooks, legal forms, music, and movies, along with foreign language programs and helpful homework databases, are available online with your library card whenever you need them through the library’s website.

Despite the many changes, one thing that remains the same is the library serving as a community meeting space free and open to all. The library meeting room is available for free public meetings. Children’s story time sessions help promote early literacy. Free programs for all ages help fulfill lifelong learning. There is something for everyone at the library!

Right now, you can sign up for a free library card and begin exploring all the library has to offer. If you lost your card, you can come in anytime until the end of the year and replace your library card at no charge. Discover the possibilities at the Champaign County Library, 1060 Scioto St., Urbana, 937-653-3811, or 161 Winder St., North Lewisburg, 937-747-3043. Check us out online at www.champaign.lib.oh.us.
