Triad girls top Mechanicsburg in golf

Triad girls golf (2-4 OHC) team defeated Mechanicsburg at Woodland 226-278. Triad was led by medalist Macy Linscott’s 50. Chasity Curton had a 55, Jess Woodard shot 58, Jen Pelfrey had a 63 and Sabrina Thompson carded a 64.

M’burg was led by Sheena Payne’s 52.

Triad’s boys team (1-6 OHC) lost to MHS 181-167. Triad was led by Alec Ober’s 39. William McDavid had a 47, Shem Pond shot a 47, Caleb Young carded a 48, Braxton Perry had a 48 and Austin Bails shot 50.

M’burg was led by medalist Caleb Westfall’s 36.

Graham girls lose to KR

Kenton Ridge defeated Graham, 175-234, in CBC girls golf.

For Graham, Sidney Waibel shot a 56 and Brandi Powell shot a 57.

Triad volleyball wins

Triad defeated Greeneview, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18, 25-17, in OHC volleyball Tuesday.

Madison Dolby had 16 kills and 11 assists, Bailey Printz had 8 kills and 4 blocks, Caleigh Phelps had 6 kills and 18 assists and Jenna Ober had 21 digs for the Cardinals.

Triad (1-5, 1-2 OHC) travels to West Liberty-Salem on Thursday.

Triad’s junior varsity won, 25-23, 22-25, 25-7. Tori Thomas had 14 points, 9 digs and 4 kills, Kiki Zizzo had 9 points and 8 digs and Kristin Bailey had 8 digs and 6 points. Jennifer Sizemore added 19 points and 9 digs, while Victoria Ripley had 7 points and Lauren McCall had 12 points.

Tigers sail in volleyball

West Liberty-Salem defeated Catholic Central, 25-12, 25-23, 21-25, 25-20, in OHC volleyball Tuesday.

Jamie Peterson had 32 kills, 5 aces and 22 digs to lead the Tigers. Kylie Gilroy had 32 assists, 5 kills, 3 aces and 10 digs, Olivia Ames had 3 aces, 19 digs and 31 service receptions. Tory Cordell had 4 kills and 3 blocks and Allie Yoder added 4 aces.

The Tigers (6-0) host Triad on Thursday.

Hillclimbers fall on the road

SIDNEY – Urbana lost to Lehman Catholic, 25-20, 25-22, 19-25, 25-18, in non-league volleyball Tuesday.

Olivia Dunham had 24 assists, Hunter Rogan had 16 kills, Kaitlyn Bertsch had 10 kills, Mckenzee Martin had 8 kills and Katy Curnutte had 10 digs for UHS.

Urbana’s jayvees lost, 25-22, 23-25, 16-25.

Urbana (4-2, 1-1 CBC) plays at Greenon on Thursday.

WL-S girls soccer loses

Catholic Central defeated West Liberty-Salem, 3-2, in OHC girls soccer Tuesday.

Gabby Hollar and Annika Wolfe each scored for the Tigers. Paige Shafer had 7 saves.

M’burg girls fall in soccer

Northeastern beat Mechanicsburg, 1-0, in OHC girls soccer on Tuesday.

For the Indians, Senior captain Sydney Hux had 3 shots on goal, senior Scarlett Wiant had 2 shots on goal, junior captain Emma Lockwood had one shot on goal, sophomore Tori Jacobs had 2 shots on goal and freshman Kameron Loveless had 3 shots on goal. Senior keeper Chayna Sanford had 23 saves.

M’burg plays at Catholic Central on Thursday.

Graham beat Tipp, 6-0.

Standouts for Graham included Nick Moore, Chandler Baldwin, Ethan Grove, Shamar Compton, Isaac Maurice and Jason Howard.
